Beauclair Palace
During the quest "The Beast of Toussaint," Geralt reunites with Duchess Anna Henrietta at the Tourney Grounds and journeys with her to the Beauclair Palace gardens. To locate Milton de Peyrac-Peyran before the Beast strikes, you must participate in the ongoing Hunt the Hare festival across the gardens by retrieving a fake horn from a disguised unicorn and locating a key inside a submerged golden fish. Combining these findings with the Duchess's Phoenix Egg allows you to decipher the riddle pointing directly to the palace greenhouse.

- •Looting the chest near the palace kitchen for the Toussaint knight's steel sword.
Common mistakes
- •Looking for the Deed to Corvo Bianco or the Key to Corvo Bianco in the Palace Gardens; both are given at the Tourney Grounds arena.

What you can skip
- •Searching the palace grounds for vendors or crafting services, as none operate here.
- •Worrying about permanent missables in the palace, since the palace and its grounds remain accessible in the post-game.
Walkthrough
The area in the order you play it. Tick things off as you go: they tick off in the checklists below too.
-
1
Arrive at the Palace Grounds
When you ride alongside Duchess Anna Henrietta from the Tourney Grounds during "The Beast of Toussaint", you reach the grounds of Beauclair Palace. As you explore, note the Beauclair Palace signpost positioned on the upper terrace as well as the Palace Gardens signpost located further down. You can observe Damien de la Tour stationed by the palace gates and grand entry stairs, while Duchess Anna Henrietta herself occupies the gardens, upper terraces, and throne area.
Watch out: Note that the Deed to Corvo Bianco and Key to Corvo Bianco are not found here, as they are awarded at the Tourney Grounds arena rather than within Beauclair Palace.
-
2
Explore the Upper Level Chambers
Make your way through the grand interior where Sylvia Anna (Syanna) is kept under guard within the private chambers of the palace's upper story. While checking the passageway that runs toward the tower chamber, search a chest situated near the palace kitchen to find a Toussaint knight's steel sword. Keep in mind that no vendors, craftspeople, or merchants are available within the palace, so you must venture down into the city of Beauclair if you require services.
-
3
Dive for the Submerged Clue
Descend into the Palace Gardens and head over to the pond to advance the hunt. Plunge underwater and activate your Witcher Senses to scan for the mock fish submerged beneath the surface. Interact with the valid dummy fish to recover the Golden Fish Key / Clue from within it.
-
4
Retrieve the Horn from the Disguised Mount
Proceed deeper into the Palace Gardens to track down the white horse masquerading as a mythical beast. Approach the creature and coax it into handing over the Prop Unicorn Horn by casting the Axii sign or bribing it with cake, an apple, or carrots. Collecting this mandatory quest object completes your hunt objectives within the garden grounds.
-
5
Check the Grounds After the Night Assault
During the events of "The Night of Long Fangs", search near the spot where the bruxa is engaged on the grounds. Loot the corpse of a fallen knight in this area to claim the Toussaint knight's tourney gauntlets. Because the palace grounds can still be visited freely during the post-game, no achievements, unique items, or quests situated directly in the palace are permanently missable.
