1. 1

   Arrival and Shoreline Funeral

   When you reach Kaer Trolde Harbor by boat or shore after completing Destination: Skellige, discover the local Signpost by the harbor docks. Head toward the shoreline to take part in the initial story event, the funeral of King Bran. Standard manual and autosave checkpoints will record your progress at discovered landmarks.

2. 2

   Harbor Settlement and The New Port Inn

   Walk into the village settlement, check the local notice board, and locate The New Port inn on the north side at the waterfront. Inside the tavern, talk to Jonas the Innkeeper to browse food, drink, and alchemy goods. You can also meet Simun Brambling in the harbor to pick up the secondary quest An Unpaid Debt.

   Watch out: Be sure to complete the questline prerequisites for An Unpaid Debt before events surrounding King's Gambit, or it will permanently lock out.

3. 3

   Yennefer's Quarters

   During the quest The King is Dead – Long Live the King, open the chest situated at the foot of Yennefer's bed to retrieve Skellige Formal Wear. If you do not grab the outfit here, you can still buy it from Sjusta in this harbor or Elihal in Novigrad.

   Tip: Skellige Formal Wear is not permanently missable, as identical sets can be bought from tailors later.

4. 4

   Waterfront Brawl and Underwater Loot

   Step directly in front of The New Port inn to enter a fistfighting match against the champion brawler Valgard as part of Fists of Fury: Skellige. Defeat Valgard to earn up to 70 orens or crowns and acquire Diagram: The Digger if he is your first Skellige opponent. Afterward, swim behind the inn to search two submerged chests directly underwater, which hold up to four random armor crafting diagrams.

5. 5

   Harbor Craftsmen and Sjusta's Parlor

   Visit the waterfront docks to consult Bjorg the master boatwright and an outdoor stall run by a general merchant, then seek out the armorer at the harbor to buy Ibrahim Savi's maps for Ursine Witcher Gear upgrade scavenger hunts. Continue through the village settlement past the herbalist's stall to the workshop run by Sjusta, who provides grooming, barbering, and tailoring services. Challenge Sjusta to a Gwent match during Gwent: Skellige Style and win to claim the Yaevinn card, which remains accessible throughout the game.

   Tip: Sjusta stays in his workshop across the entire game, ensuring the Yaevinn card is never permanently missable.

6. 6

   The Lift to the Castle

   Proceed beneath the massive stone cliff bridge leading toward the keep and locate the mechanical elevator platform. Board the lift or walk across the bridge to ascend the cliffs toward Kaer Trolde Castle, where Ermion's laboratory is situated.
