- •Defeating the Nilfgaardian Nobleman on the courtyard garden bench awards the Foltest: The Siegemaster leader Gwent card.
- •Pressing the loose wall brick revealed by Witcher Senses in the courtyard opens a hidden vault containing an Old Letter beside a skeleton.
Common mistakes
- •Leaving the palace without checking Yennefer's quarters for the reward chest sitting beside her bed.

Grooming and Interrogation
When you arrive at the castle hub following your escort from White Orchard, you are brought to the dressing chamber to be shaved by Cledwyn the Barber while General Morvran Voorhis interrogates you. Meeting Yennefer
After concluding your imperial meeting, let your escort bring you directly into Yennefer's quarters to confer with her. Before stepping outside, search next to Yennefer's bed to loot a chest holding the White Tiger of the West armor set, the Armor of a Thousand Flowers, and both paired sets of swords.
-
4
Courtyard Garden and Hidden Vault
Exit Yennefer's room into the garden courtyard, where you can trigger your Witcher Senses against a pillar wall to reveal a glowing red loose brick. Push this mechanism to unlock a secret stone chamber, where you can inspect the skeleton of Sir Roderick de Wett to claim the Old Letter regarding Adda and the striga curse.

Gwent Match and Ambassador Consultation
Walk over to the stone bench situated inside the courtyard garden to encounter a seated Nilfgaardian Nobleman, whom you can defeat at Gwent to claim the Foltest: The Siegemaster leader card. Nearby, you can also consult Ambassador Rosa var Attre or locate Ambassador Henry var Attre inside the library study room to gather intelligence about the ongoing war.
Tip: You can return at any point via fast travel to challenge the nobleman if your deck is not ready.

Reclaiming Gear and Departure

With your weapons and standard items safely returned, head through the palace gates to the fast-travel signpost to journey onward, keeping in mind that no vendors, blacksmiths, or merchants are available here.
