1. 1

   Approach Frischlow

   Follow the southern road in Velen southeast from Byways or head south of Olena’s Grove to reach the abandoned settlement. You will notice around five run-down buildings infested with hostile wraiths, devoid of any vendors, services, or friendly NPCs. Clear out the wraiths lingering among the houses as you search the empty village center.

   Tip: You can ignite unburned massive piles of bodies scattered through the settlement and graveyard using Igni.

2. 2

   Old Cemetery Grounds

   Head directly south from the village into the old cemetery grounds. Further along these ruins, encounter and defeat or bypass the level 19 Gargoyle that watches over the site. Search the dead body resting by the grave to claim the guarded treasure, which holds flowers and a gold sapphire ring.

   Southern Cave Entrance

   Continue to the subterranean cave and burial chamber entrance situated south of the village near the Lady Caroline burial grounds. Slay the high-level Noonwraith guarding this spot and check the ground for a dead human corpse.

4. 4

   Ghostly Miner Haunting

   While standing just outside the southern cave entrance, listen for the sound of pickaxe strikes coming from the excavation point. Equip Keira Metz's Magic Lamp in your quick-use slot and direct its beam toward the noise. This exposes the restless phantom of a miner endlessly swinging his pickaxe into the earth.

5. 5

   Subterranean Burial Chamber

   Turn toward the sealed stone wall at the burial chamber entrance and destroy the barrier with the Aard sign. Venture into the subterranean cave beneath the cemetery to locate the chests hidden inside. Search these containers to retrieve the Diagram: Enhanced Griffin Gauntlets (Enhanced Griffin boots are found inside a chest in the ruined fort on the northern end of Mudplough in Velen).
