  • •Completing the arena duel at the Tourney Grounds and participating in the Palace Gardens hare hunt.

Walkthrough

The area in the order you play it. Tick things off as you go: they tick off in the checklists below too.

  1. 1

    Dulcinea Windmill

When you arrive in the Duchy of Toussaint after traveling from Velen with Milton and Palmerin, you will find Guillaume fighting the giant Golyat at the windmill near Dulcinea Windmill. Take down this giant to proceed with the investigation.

Tip: Aim your crossbow directly through the slit in Golyat's barrel to defeat him and secure the achievement.

Watch out: If you fail to land the crossbow shot through his barrel slit and defeat him normally, the achievement cannot be earned without reloading an earlier save.

  2. 2

    Sansretour Riverbank

Head to the riverbank south of The Cockatrice Inn to meet Milton de Peyrac-Peyran and investigate the Beast's third victim. Activate your Witcher Senses to scour the submerged fishing nets in the river and collect the victim's clue.

  3. 3

    The Cockatrice Inn

Make your way inside The Cockatrice Inn to interview witnesses regarding the recent killings. While in the area near the Sansebastian vineyard, you can stop by the innkeeper for refreshments or challenge him to Gwent, or visit the nearby merchant for supplies.

  4. 4

    Corvo Bianco Wine Cellar

Head to the Corvo Bianco vineyard and make your way into the wine cellar, which is currently serving as a temporary morgue dungeon. Defeat the hostile Bruxa lurking inside, then search the corpse of Count Crespi to obtain the victim's clue.

Key fight: The Bruxa of Corvo Bianco
  5. 5

    Tourney Grounds Arena

Go to the Tourney Grounds and speak with Palmerin before stepping into the arena. Prepare for battle against the Shaelmaar inside the arena, and speak with Duchess Anna Henrietta when you are reunited with her at the grounds.

  6. 6

    Palace Gardens Hare Hunt

Join Duchess Anna Henrietta in the Palace Gardens of Beauclair to take part in the hare hunt, solve her riddle, and receive the deed to Corvo Bianco along with its key. Dive into the fountain pond using your Witcher Senses to find the floating ceramic fish, then break the golden one to retrieve the key and clue.

The Bruxa of Corvo Bianco

Enemies: The Bruxa

Threats: High-speed invisibility, teleporting dashes, razor-sharp claw swipes, and a concussive, disorienting sonic scream that knocks Geralt down

Tactics: Stand inside a pre-cast Yrden circle or toss a Moon Dust bomb to force her into visible physical form, drink Black Blood so her bites damage her, and dodge sideways out of her charging line before punishing her with silver sword strikes

Enemies

Golyat
Weak to Ogroid Oil, Quen SignSteal / drop Greater red mutagen

A massive giant wielding an improvised millstone weapon who uses slow, wide sweeps and earth-shattering stomp attacks.

Tips

  • Maintain distance when Golyat winds up his swings, and keep the Quen shield active to absorb any errant wide-range blows if you miss your dodge timing.
