Lon Lon Ranch

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time guide · Meeting Malon and learning Epona's Song

Link visits Lon Lon Ranch as a child during the daytime to meet Malon inside the central horse corral. By speaking with her repeatedly and presenting the Fairy Ocarina, Malon teaches Link a melody that befriends the young horse Epona. Learning this tune establishes an early bond with Epona and allows Link to play the Super Cucco minigame inside the ranch house for an additional reward.
