The lower stretch of Death Mountain Trail leads Link from the Kakariko Village entrance up to the doors of Goron City. Link must navigate a steep, winding incline while avoiding rolling boulders to deliver the letter to the Goron patriarch. Later, with the help of Bomb Flowers found along the path, Link can blast open the blocked entrance to Dodongo's Cavern located just below.

Jumps high into the air and attempts to land directly on Link along the rocky slopes.

Tips
- Backwalking or side-hopping lets you climb the steep slopes much faster than regular forward running.
- You cannot pick up the wild Bomb Flowers growing along the trail until you acquire the Goron's Bracelet from Darunia inside Goron City.
