Hyrule Field connects Kokiri Forest to Hyrule Castle Town and several other regions across the kingdom. Link must cross the vast open plain during his first journey to seek an audience with Princess Zelda at Hyrule Castle. Along the way, he must navigate the terrain during the day or night while avoiding hostile creatures roaming the plains.

- Traveling Business Scrub: Sells a Deku Shield or Deku Nuts inside a hidden grotto near Lake Hylia
Tips
- Crossing the drawbridge into Hyrule Castle Town requires arriving before nightfall, as the bridge lifts and locks Link outside until dawn.
- Running backward or side-hopping covers ground faster across the open field than standard forward jogging.
