The Ice Cavern is an icy mini-dungeon that adult Link visits to thaw the frozen obstacles blocking Zora's Domain and the Water Temple. You explore rooms covered in slippery ice and spinning blades, gathering Blue Fire in empty bottles to melt red ice barriers. After defeating a White Wolfos in the final room, you obtain the Iron Boots and meet Sheik to learn the Serenade of Water.

Freezard

Weak to Fire, explosives, or repeated sword attacks

Emits a breath of frost that freezes Link solid on contact.

White Wolfos

Weak to Sword strikes or Deku Nuts, vulnerable from behind

Serves as the mini-boss of the cavern and circles Link before lunging.

Ice Keese

Weak to Arrows, Slingshot, Hookshot, or sword slashes

Freezes Link solid if it flies directly into him while cloaked in frost.

Tips

Bring multiple empty bottles into the cavern so you can carry several Blue Fires at once and avoid backtracking.
You can capture Blue Fire inside the Ice Cavern and take it back outside to thaw King Zora and the entrance to the Zora Shop.
