The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time guide · Investigating the village after the Forest Temple

After completing the Forest Temple, adult Link visits Kakariko Village to find a safe haven connecting to Death Mountain and the Graveyard. You can use newly acquired adult equipment, such as the Hookshot, to reach rooftops, obtain collectibles, and prepare for upcoming temples. The village also serves as a hub to trade items in the adult trading sequence and deposit collected Gold Skulltula tokens in the House of Skulltula.

Hookshoot the wooden plank on the roof of the tall windmill/well complex to reach the roof of the purple-roofed house where a man sits and awards a Piece of Heart.A Gold Skulltula clings to the high wooden support beam of the village watchtower, which can be reached with the Hookshot.

Tips

Use the Hookshot on the high ladder of the village watchtower to climb up quickly without needing to circle around.
Wake Talon inside the center house with the Pocket Cucco as soon as it hatches so you can advance the adult trade quest promptly.
