The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time guide · Mini-dungeon to obtain the Lens of Truth

As child Link, enter the dried well in Kakariko Village to explore a dark, trap-filled underground mini-dungeon. Navigate illusory walls and water channels to reach the central chamber and defeat the mini-boss. The primary goal is to retrieve the Lens of Truth so you can reveal hidden objects and fake walls throughout the game.

Mummy-like enemy with a paralyzing gaze similar to ReDeads

Tips

Falling through hidden pitfall traps in the central room drops you into a poison-filled basement floor.
Look at the textures on the wooden beams and wall segments, as slight discoloration or lack of collision often signals an illusory wall even before getting the Lens of Truth.
You must play the Song of Storms inside the Windmill as an adult to drain the well, but you can only crawl inside the entrance as child Link.
