The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time guide · Finding the city abandoned and meeting the Goron child
← All areas in this guide

When returning to Goron City seven years later, Link discovers the settlement completely deserted except for a single rolling Goron child. Stopping this rolling Goron reveals he is named Link after the legendary hero, and speaking with him reveals that Ganondorf imprisoned the rest of the tribe inside the Fire Temple. He gives Link the Goron Tunic and opens the passage toward Death Mountain Crater so Link can go rescue the Gorons.

Shops and people

  • Link the Goron: Informs Link about Volvagia and Ganondorf, provides the Goron Tunic, and unlocks access to the crater entrance
  • Goron Shop: Sells the Goron Tunic for 200 Rupees, Recovery Hearts, and Bombs, but is inaccessible until Link the Goron opens the locked doors

Tips

  • To stop Link the Goron from rolling around the track, plant a Bomb or throw a Bomb Flower so it detonates right as he rolls over it.
