The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time guide · Meeting Darunia to get the Goron's Ruby

Link visits Goron City on Death Mountain to find the Spiritual Stone of Fire, only to discover the Gorons are starving because their food cavern is sealed. Link must play Zelda's Lullaby to open the door to Darunia's chamber and then perform Saria's Song to cheer him up. Darunia then grants Link the Goron's Bracelet, tasking him with clearing the monsters out of Dodongo's Cavern before he will surrender the Goron's Ruby.

The giant urn on the lowest level begins spinning if you use a Deku Stick to carry fire from Darunia's throne room and light all the torches around the city's bottom floor.A room sealed with rocks on the top floor hides a Gossip Stone and a maze of boulders leading to treasure chests.

Tips

You cannot pick up Bomb Flowers until Darunia gives you the Goron's Bracelet, but you can ignite them early using a Deku Stick lit from a nearby torch.
Playing Zelda's Lullaby on the carpet in front of Darunia's chamber door is required to make the door slide open.
