The party mounts a final assault on the colossal fortress constructed from the ruined Empire's debris by landing the airship Falcon directly atop its summit. Players must assemble and guide three distinct four-person teams through interconnected pathways, pressing switches to clear gates, vanquishing the remaining legendary dragons, and destroying the Warring Triad. At the pinnacle, the three squads reunite into a chosen formation to overcome a multi-tiered gauntlet and defeat Kefka to save the world.

Tips

  • Include Strago in a team exploring the palace interior to confront Dark Force, as this enemy casts nearly every Lore spell in the game and allows him to rapidly fill his repertoire.
  • You can instantly evacuate all three parties back aboard the Falcon at any time by casting the Teleport spell or by interacting with the recovery hooks hanging near each party's landing point.
  • Adjust your Gil count prior to entering so that the ones digit is 1; because every monster encounter in the tower drops Gil in multiples of 10, Strago's Lv. ? Holy will consistently strike every enemy.
