FINAL FANTASY VI guide · The party investigates the secluded village of magic users to track down the missing Espers.

Terra and Locke travel to this isolated settlement in search of the missing Espers, only to discover that the villagers are descendants of the Mage Warriors who conceal their magical heritage. After meeting Strago and Relm, the heroes must rescue Relm from a blazing mansion with Strago's help before traveling toward the nearby mountains to find the Espers. Peace talks conducted later in the village are violently disrupted when Kefka attacks the town, kills General Leo, and converts the arriving Espers into Magicite.

Tips

Buy an Ice Rod at the local weapon shop and snap it as an item in battle to exploit Flame Eater's Ice weakness for overwhelming burst damage.
Remove all equipped Espers and Relics from Shadow prior to sleeping at the inn, as he slips away from the group once the fire begins.
Equip spellcasters like Terra or Celes with the Mystery Veil available at the armor shop to enjoy substantial defensive and magic stat enhancements.
