Vault 112 (Reality)

Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition guide · Exiting the simulation after rescuing your father

After escaping the Tranquility Lane simulation, you step out of your Lounger to find your father, James, awake and free as well. You need to speak with him to advance the main quest and then prepare to leave the vault together to head back to Rivet City. The rest of the vault's resident Loungers will either be dead or inactive depending on how you solved the simulation, but the vault itself is generally safe.

Password to Dr. Braun's office safe can be obtained from the overseer terminal to unlock his personal safe containing pre-War supplies.

Tips

Talk to James immediately after stepping out of the pod to complete the quest "Tranquility Lane" and begin "The Waters of Life."
You do not need to walk James all the way to Rivet City; you can simply fast travel there once outside the vault, and he will travel on his own.
If you activated the Chinese Invasion Fail-Safe terminal in the simulation, all human residents in the reality Loungers will now be deceased and can be safely looted.
