Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition guide · Meeting Three Dog to find your father
← All areas in this guide

You arrive at the Galaxy News Radio building in Chevy Chase after fighting through Super Mutants alongside Brotherhood of Steel Paladin Lyons' squad. Inside, you meet the radio host Three Dog, who knows where your father went but refuses to share the information until you retrieve a satellite dish from the Museum of Technology to fix his broadcast range. You can avoid doing this quest entirely by passing a difficult Speech check to convince Three Dog to tell you your father's destination immediately.

Tips

  • Pick up the Fat Man and Mini Nukes immediately from the fallen Brotherhood soldier in power armor when the Super Mutant Behemoth breaches the courtyard gate.
  • If you have high Charisma or save-scum a Speech check, you can get Dad's location from Three Dog right away without completing his quest, though doing the quest still unlocks radio signal improvements and rewards.
  • Let the heavily armored Brotherhood of Steel squad take the brunt of the aggro during the plaza firefight before stepping in to finish off enemies.
