Built into the ruins of the Pentagon, the Citadel serves as the primary headquarters for the Brotherhood of Steel in the Capital Wasteland. You gain entry here during the main quest "The Waters of Life" after escorting Doctor Li through the Taft Tunnels. Inside, you can obtain Power Armor Training, interact with Elder Lyons, and advance the main storyline toward Project Purity.

- Knight Captain Durga: Repairs gear up to a decent skill level and trades heavy ordnance
- Scribe Bowditch: Medical supplies, stimpaks, and rad removal services in the Citadel clinic
Tips
- Speak to Paladin Gunny in the Citadel courtyard to receive Power Armor Training as soon as you gain permission from Elder Lyons.
- Once allowed in, search the armory area to pick up free standard Brotherhood armor and laser rifles scattered around the common areas without it counting as stealing.
- Bring any gathered pre-War books to Scribe Yearling in the Citadel archives; she pays 100 caps and gives 10 XP per book turned in.
- You cannot enter the Citadel through the front gate until you arrive at the rear gate alongside Doctor Li during the main questline.
