Anacostia Crossing

Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition guide · Navigating the metro tunnels
← All areas in this guide

Anacostia Crossing is an underground metro station that connects the flooded D.C. streets near the Potomac River to the Rivet City docks. Navigating through it is a common early-game route to reach Rivet City without swimming through heavily irradiated water. You will need to make your way through debris-cluttered platform areas while dealing with feral ghouls and minor radroach infestations.

Enemies

Feral Ghoul
Weak to Head

Found wandering the main train platforms and tracks.

Feral Ghoul Roamer
Weak to Head

Tougher ghoul variant armed with minor projectile rocks and stronger melee.

Radroach

Minor pest scattered across dirty utility rooms.

Tips

  • Follow the glowing platform exit signs and ticket gates to easily find your way through the darkness to the Rivet City exterior exit.
  • Bring along a weapon with cheap ammunition like a 10mm Pistol or a shotgun to conserve valuable ammo against the swarming low-tier ghouls.
