DARK SOULS™: REMASTERED guide · The spider-infested lair within Blighttown

Quelaag's Domain is a cavernous web-coated sub-area accessed from the base of the Blighttown swamp. Players must defeat the area boss, Chaos Witch Quelaag, in order to ring the second Bell of Awakening located in the bell tower beyond her arena. Ringing the bell opens the gates to Sen's Fortress and unlocks paths downward into the Demon Ruins and a hidden covenant chamber.

Tips

Summon the NPC phantom Maneater Mildred right outside Quelaag's fog gate (requires defeating her swamp invasion and being in human form) to effectively distract the boss during the fight.
Watch for Quelaag's human torso to slump forward over the spider's head, as this signals an imminent, high-damage area-of-effect magical explosion.
Do not kill Eingyi, as he is the primary repeatable source of Egg Vermifuges in this part of the game and an essential pyromancy trainer.
