DARK SOULS™: REMASTERED achievement guide

Recommended order

1. Step 1

   Start in Northern Undead Asylum, choose Master Key as your starting gift, defeat Asylum Demon, and take the giant crow flight to Firelink Shrine.

2. Step 2

   Explore Firelink Shrine and head through Undead Burg to purchase the Residence Key from the Undead Merchant, cut off the Hellkite Wyvern's tail for the Drake Sword, and defeat Taurus Demon.

3. Step 3

   Advance to Undead Parish, defeat the Bell Gargoyles while severing the tail for the Gargoyle Tail Axe, ring the first Bell of Awakening, meet Andre to purchase upgrade materials, and absolve sins with Oswald of Carim if needed.

4. Step 4

   Descend into Depths to rescue Laurentius of the Great Swamp, acquire the Large Ember, sever the Gaping Dragon's tail for the Dragon King Greataxe, and defeat the boss to obtain the Blighttown Key.

5. Step 5

   Clear Blighttown, unlock Pyromancy trainers (Eingyi and Laurentius), rescue Shiva of the East/Quelana in the swamp, acquire all unique pyromancies and weapons, then defeat Chaos Witch Quelaag in Quelaag's Domain to ring the second Bell of Awakening.

6. Step 6

   Join the Chaos Servant covenant behind the illusory wall in Quelaag's Domain, donate 30 Humanity to unlock Great Chaos Fireball and open the shortcut to Lost Izalith, then explore Demon Ruins and Lost Izalith to acquire Chaos spells and tail cuts/drops.

7. Step 7

   Return to Undead Parish via Firelink Shrine, re-enter Northern Undead Asylum (Revisited Asylum) using the crow's nest to collect the Crest Shield, Peculiar Doll, and defeat the Stray Demon for a Titanite Slab.

8. Step 8

   Venture into Darkroot Garden and Darkroot Basin to defeat the Moonlight Butterfly (save its soul), sever the Hydra for materials, join the Forest Hunter covenant, rescue Dusk of Oolacile, and defeat Great Grey Wolf Sif for the first Soul of Sif.

9. Step 9

   Clear Sen's Fortress, rescue Big Hat Logan, acquire the Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring and weapon upgrades, then defeat the Iron Golem (save Core of an Iron Golem) to access Anor Londo.

10. Step 10

    Navigate Anor Londo, join the Blade of the Darkmoon covenant before killing Gwyndolin, forge initial boss weapons at the Giant Blacksmith, and defeat Dragon Slayer Ornstein and Executioner Smough (kill Ornstein last to gain his soul on this run).

11. Step 11

    Enter the Painted World of Ariamis via the giant painting in Anor Londo, cut Crossbreed Priscilla's tail for Priscilla's Dagger, and defeat her to obtain the Soul of Priscilla for the Lifehunt Scythe.

12. Step 12

    Place the Lordvessel (or speak to Darkstalker Kaathe in New Londo Ruins/The Abyss first if joining the Darkwraith covenant), then clear Duke's Archives and Crystal Cave to rescue Logan, cut Seath the Scaleless's tail for the Moonlight Greatsword, and purchase all sorceries.

13. Step 13

    Progress through Catacombs and Tomb of the Giants to collect miracles, rescue Rhea of Thorolund, defeat Gravelord Nito, and ensure all miracles/weapons from this branch are secured.

14. Step 14

    Drain New Londo Ruins, defeat the Four Kings in The Abyss, and gather the Very Large Ember along with any remaining farmable Titanite Slabs.

15. Step 15

    Royal Wood, Oolacile Township, and Chasm of the Abyss contain expansion content; while DLC items and spells are not required for base remaster achievements, explore them if desired before proceeding to the final boss.
