Valley of Drakes

The Valley of Drakes is a narrow chasm that acts as a central hub connecting New Londo Ruins, Blighttown, Darkroot Basin, and the lower passage beneath Firelink Shrine. Players must navigate treacherous cliff edges while evading or slaying lightning-breathing Drakes and the massive Undead Dragon. Lowering the floodgates in New Londo Ruins drains the valley's base, opening a massive gate that bridges New Londo directly to the valley.

Guards valuable treasures; will awaken and swipe with claws or spew toxic sludge if items are taken or if attacked.

Darkwraith

Weak to FireSteal / drop Titanite Chunk, Titanite Slab, Dark Hand

Roams the area near the giant double doors once the floodgates of New Londo are opened.

Tips

Grabbing either item in front of the sleeping Undead Dragon will immediately wake it up, so prepare to roll away backward instantly.
Having the Master Key allows you to unlock the door in New Londo Ruins leading here early, granting a fast shortcut to Blighttown.
The Drakes' lightning breath can easily knock you off the thin cliff paths, so use the terrain or ranged weapons to bait them one at a time.
