Route 122 is a water route located south of Route 121 that encircles the island mountain known as Mt. Pyre. Trainers must use the HM move Surf to navigate around the perimeter and access the entrance to the mountain's interior. Aside from serving as the access point for Mt. Pyre, it contains wild Pokémon encounters on the water and while fishing.
