Sootopolis City
Sootopolis City is located inside a massive volcanic crater reachable only by surfing and diving through an underwater cavern. During the climax of Pokémon Emerald's story, Groudon and Kyogre battle in the center of the city, requiring you to summon Rayquaza from the Sky Pillar to quell them. Once the weather crisis is resolved, you can challenge the local Gym Leader, Juan, to earn your final badge.

Tips
- The puzzle in the Sootopolis Gym requires you to walk on every ice tile once and only once to reach the next platform; stepping on a tile twice breaks it and drops you to the lower floor.
- Bring Pokémon with Grass-type moves or high physical offense to deal with Gym Leader Juan's Water-type team, especially against Whiscash.
