Mauville City is a major crossroads in central Hoenn featuring the region's third Pokémon Gym, a Bike Shop, and the Mauville Game Corner. To challenge the Gym Leader, you must first defeat your rival Wally outside the Gym doors. Defeating Wattson earns you the Dynamo Badge, unlocks the use of Rock Smash outside of battle, and opens up travel north toward Fallarbor Town or east toward Fortree City.

- Mauville Game Corner: Sells Coins, TMs (TM32 Double Team, TM29 Psychic, TM35 Flamethrower, TM24 Thunderbolt, TM13 Ice Beam), and decorative Dolls
- Rydel's Cycles: Allows you to freely exchange between the Mach Bike and the Acro Bike at any time
Tips
- Ground-type Pokémon such as Geodude or Marshtomp are immune to Electric attacks and make Wattson's Gym significantly easier.
- You can buy the Harbor Mail required for the Coin Case trade at the Slateport City Poké Mart.
