Route 111
Pokémon Emerald guide · Heading north toward the desert
← All areas in this guide
Route 111 runs north from Mauville City and serves as a major north-south corridor through central Hoenn. Traveling north leads past the Winstrate Family house toward the desert, which initially cannot be traversed without the Go-Goggles. To continue toward Fallarbor Town early on, players must take the detour west onto Route 112 instead.

Shops and people
- Rest Stop Old Lady: Fully heals your Pokémon party when you talk to her, though she repeatedly prompts you to rest until you decline
Tips
- Do not talk to the Winstrate family outside their home unless your team is fully healed, as you must battle all four members back-to-back with no breaks in between.
- You cannot enter the sandstorm in the central desert section when you first arrive; head west onto Route 112 to continue your journey toward Mt. Chimney.
