Lavaridge Town is a hot springs settlement situated at the southern base of Mt. Chimney, reachable after descending the Jagged Pass. The main objective here is to defeat the Gym Leader Flannery to earn the Heat Badge, which allows the use of HM04 Strength outside of battle. After challenging the Gym, the player receives the Go-Goggles from the rival, enabling access to the desert on Route 111.

Tips
- Navigating Flannery's Gym requires dropping into sand trap holes and emerging through linked geysers, with several trainers popping out to ambush you from beneath the sand.
- The bitter herbs sold at the Herb Shop are much cheaper than standard restorative items, but using them lowers the target Pokémon's friendship.
