Resident Evil 4 guide · Solving the sword puzzle

The Treasury is a room inside the Castle visited during Chapter 7 where Leon and Ashley must open an ornate gate. To unlock the path forward, Leon must collect four ceremonial swords and insert each one into the correct relief depicting a knight's life story. Behind the puzzle gate, you will find a treasure and continue forward into the upper levels of the castle.

You can open the Treasury's locked side gate by pulling the hanging chain to hit the deer gong, then shooting the eagle and snake gongs behind the gate.

Tips

Remove the three swords already mounted on the wall reliefs before trying to place them, so you have all four available in your inventory.
The correct order of swords from left to right across the wall reliefs is Iron Sword, Golden Sword, Bloodied Sword, and Rusted Sword.
