Resident Evil 4 guide · Upgrading the keycard

In Chapter 13, Leon must explore Dissection within the Island's laboratory complex to upgrade his Keycard to Level 1. After solving an Electronic Lock Terminal puzzle to restore power to the room, he initiates the card-rewriting process, which triggers an ambush by an awakening Regenerador. Leon must survive the encounter and retrieve the Level 1 Keycard from the machine once the overwrite completes.

Awakes from an operating table once the keycard overwrite machine starts cycling; parrying or severing limbs delays it, but destroying hidden parasites is required to eliminate it without heavy ammo expenditure

Tips

You will not yet possess the Biosensor Scope when fighting the first Regenerador in Dissection, so aim for its limbs to slow it down or bait it around the operating tables until the keycard finishes writing.
Running around the central dissection tables allows you to easily kite the Regenerador while waiting for the keycard machine's progress bar to finish.
