Sanctuary
In Chapter 16, Leon brings Ashley through the Sanctuary towards the extraction site before encountering Osmund Saddler. After rescuing Ashley from the ritual altar and curing her, Leon heads upward to the loading docks for the final confrontation against Saddler's mutated form. Defeating Saddler triggers the final timed escape sequence from the island.

Threats: High-damage sweep and slam attacks with giant bladed spider-legs, impaling neck thrust, throwing steel girders, and spawning Novistadors via dropped fleshy sacs
Weaknesses and resistances: Eyeballs on his knee joints and the main central eye inside his mouth (only exposed when stunned)
Tactics: Run across the catwalks, shoot the explosive red barrels and operate the crane consoles to hit him with heavy steel beams to cause stuns, then shoot or knife-prompt the central mouth eye before using the Special Rocket Launcher thrown by Ada to finish him
Rewards: 100,000 Pesetas (original) / completion of the main story and unlocked endgame rewards (New Game Plus, Professional difficulty, Special Rocket Launcher/Matilda availability)

Target the glowing eyes on his legs to stagger him, then attack the core eye in his mouth.
Saddler summons small swarms of these flying insects during the middle of the encounter.

- Merchant: Final shop hub before the boss elevator; offers weapon tuning, repairs, and item restocking
Tips
- Destroying an eyeball on Saddler's legs exposes him to severe damage, and destroying enough triggers a prompt to stab his central eye with your knife.
- In the second phase, Saddler moves to the center platform and sweeps his tentacles across the arena, requiring you to dodge left or right.
- When Ada throws the red Rocket Launcher (Special), pick it up immediately and fire it directly at Saddler to end the fight instantly.
