← All areas in this guide

Zion Canyon is a sprawling, rugged national park setting entered via the Northern Passage when joining the Happy Trails Caravan. Upon arrival, an ambush wipes out the caravan, forcing the player to ally with the Dead Horses and Sorrows tribes under the guidance of Joshua Graham and Daniel. The player must navigate the canyon's tribal conflicts and wildlife to either evacuate the valley or crush the invading White Legs tribe.

Shops and people

  • Joshua Graham: Offers free weapon repair services up to 100% while residing in the Angel Cave.

Tips

  • Watch out immediately after crossing the rope bridge during the intro ambush; the friendly Dead Horse scout Chalk will kill a hostile White Leg from behind them, so avoid shooting him by mistake.
  • Pack lightweight gear or raise your Survival skill, Barter skill, or Strong Back perk before departing Northern Passage, as the Happy Trails Caravan strictly enforces an inventory weight limit to start the DLC.
  • The water in Zion Canyon has little to no radiation, making the central Virgin River a safe and reliable source of healing if playing on Hardcore mode.
