Fallout: New Vegas guide · Seeking the Super Mutants

Jacobstown is a secluded alpine haven in the Charleston Mountains founded by Marcus for peaceful Super Mutants and Nightkin. Players visit this retreat to recruit the companion Lily Bowen and investigate a cure for the Nightkin's schizophrenia-like affliction caused by Stealth Boy addiction. The settlement also serves as an objective in several companion quests and contains non-violent resolutions to outside conflicts.

Tips

Recruiting Lily Bowen grants the Stealth Girl perk, which doubles the duration of Stealth Boys and increases sneak attack critical damage.
Avoid attacking the mercenaries outside the town entrance during "Unfriendly Persuasion"; using Speech or paying them preserves your peaceful standing with Jacobstown.
