X-8 Research Center
The X-8 Research Center is a testing facility in the Old World Blues add-on dedicated to developing residential cyberdog deterrence systems. You explore the center to run the residential test simulations to retrieve the sonic emitter upgrade tapes, testing data, and the cyberdog K9000 upgrade parts. Completing the high-difficulty simulations and exploring the facility's lower levels allows you to unlock access to the forbidden test chamber.

Tips
- Bring EMP-based weapons such as the Sonic Emitter, Pulse Slug-loaded shotguns, or the Paladin Toaster, as the majority of threats inside are robotic.
- Accessing the terminal controls outside the test area lets you disable or hack certain turrets before initiating the simulations.
- Collecting the test data terminal entries is required to fully upgrade the Sonic Emitter to bypass force fields throughout the Big MT.
