Nelson is a small town in the eastern Mojave that has been captured by Caesar's Legion after they slaughtered and captured the stationed NCR soldiers. The player can choose to help the NCR retake the town by eliminating the garrison or assist the Legion in defending it. Key interactions here tie directly into major quests for both Camp Forlorn Hope and the Legion.

Tips
- If approaching Nelson to free the captured troopers, watch out for landmines scattered on the roads and between the buildings.
- Approaching Nelson while vilified by Caesar's Legion will cause the entire garrison to attack you immediately on sight.
- You can decide the fate of the NCR prisoners crucified along the main street by either freeing them, leaving them, or putting them out of their misery.
