Sanctum

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild guide · Final battle against Calamity Ganon
← All areas in this guide

The Sanctum is the highest central chamber of Hyrule Castle, where the climactic battle against Calamity Ganon takes place. Entering the room triggers the final boss encounter immediately, and defeating Calamity Ganon here teleports Link out to Hyrule Field for the battle's second phase. Freeing the Divine Beasts beforehand cuts the boss's starting health by half before the fight begins.

Tips

  • A successful Perfect Guard against Calamity Ganon's Guardian laser blasts will breach its glowing orange shield and create a large opening to deal damage.
  • Using Urbosa's Fury instantly stuns Calamity Ganon and breaks its invulnerable glowing shield during the fight's second phase.
  • Stock up on ancient arrows and high-durability weapons before entering the room, as you cannot leave to restock once the fight begins.
