The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild guide · Optional challenge

Eventide Island triggers the "Stranded on Eventide" shrine quest as soon as you step foot on it, stripping you of all your armor, weapons, materials, and food. To complete the trial, you must locate three glowing orbs scattered across the island and place each into its corresponding altar. Once all three altars are activated, Korgu Chideh Shrine emerges, the trial ends, and all your confiscated equipment is returned to you.

You can find a buried metallic treasure chest underwater near the southern shore that can be pulled up using the Magnesis rune.One of the three orb altars is hidden beneath a large flat stone slab on the southeastern hill, which requires Stasis and repeated strikes, or an Octo Balloon, to remove.

Hinox

Can be defeated directly or bypassed by sneaking onto its hand while it sleeps to reach its necklace.

Found patrolling camps throughout the island and will gather around open campfires at night.

Guards the elevated Bokoblin fortification on Koholit Rock.

Mimo: Offers a paragliding minigame called the Bird-Man Research Study once the island's shrine quest is cleared

Tips

Remote Bombs retain their infinite use here and serve as your best offensive tool for conserving weapon durability against weaker enemies.
You can drop strong weapons and shields onto a raft just off the coast before stepping onto the sand, then pick them up after the challenge begins to bypass the gear restriction.
Cook raw food ingredients at available campfires or cooking pots before tackling the Hinox or Koholit Rock camp to maximize healing efficiency.
