Link visits Hateno Village to meet the director of the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab, Purah, as directed by Impa. At the lab, Link must retrieve a blue flame from an ancient furnace in the village to power the lab's Guidance Stone and restore the missing Runes on his Sheikah Slate. After restoring the Sheikah Slate, Link can return to Purah to begin upgrading runes using ancient materials.

- The Great Ton Pu Inn: Offers a standard bed for 20 rupees or an extra-soft bed for 40 rupees to restore Link's health.

Tips
- Light the stone lanterns along the road while carrying the blue flame up to the lab so you do not have to walk all the way back if your torch goes out.
- You can use a wooden weapon like a branch or boko club to transport the blue flame if your torch breaks.
