Link visits this facility at the far east end of Hateno Village to meet the director, Purah, and restore missing features to the Sheikah Slate. To restore power to the Guidance Stone, Link must carry a blue flame from an ancient furnace in the village up to the furnace outside the laboratory. Once operational, Purah can upgrade several core Sheikah Slate runes in exchange for ancient materials.

Tips
- Light the stone lanterns lining the path between Hateno Village and the lab with the blue flame so you have checkpoints if your torch goes out or it rains.
- Prioritize the Stasis+ upgrade with Purah as soon as you find three Ancient Cores, as it allows Link to temporarily freeze enemies during combat.
