Link rides on Prince Sidon's back across the East Reservoir Lake to disable the defenses of Divine Beast Vah Ruta. You must destroy the ice blocks launched by Vah Ruta before using cryonis or waterfalls to shoot Shock Arrows at four glowing pink orbs on its body. Once all four generators are hit with Shock Arrows, the beast is pacified and allows Link to board it.

- Prince Sidon: carries Link through the reservoir and launches him up waterfalls
Tips
- Target and shatter the incoming ice blocks instantly with the Cryonis rune instead of wasting weapon durability or arrows.
- Equipping the Zora Armor allows Link to swim up the waterfalls flowing from Ruta after Sidon maneuvers close enough.
- Ascending a waterfall launches Link high into the air, giving ample time to draw a bow and enter slow-motion aiming to hit the orbs.
