The Thunderhead Isles are a chain of sky islands perpetually shrouded in a dense lightning storm above Faron until cleared by progressing the main story. Link must navigate the islands using lighting rods, rails, and Zonai devices to reach Dragonhead Island at the southern end. Progressing through this region leads to opening the door that initiates the quest to find the fifth Sage.

Flies around island gaps and can drop rocks on Link.
Tips
- Unequip all metal weapons, shields, and bows to avoid being struck by natural lightning while navigating the storm.
- Wearing the Lightning Helm or the fully upgraded Rubber Armor set makes Link immune to the area's lightning strikes.
- Use Ascend frequently on the undersides of the ruins to climb higher without wasting stamina against the rain-slicked walls.
