Lightning Temple: Gerudo regional phenomenon
Link and Riju enter the pyramid-like Lightning Temple to put an end to the sand shroud covering the Gerudo Desert. You must explore the interior chambers using mirror puzzles and Riju's lightning ability to power up four battery terminals to unlock the elevator to the roof. The temple concludes with a two-phase boss battle against Queen Gibdo on the exterior roof arena.
Enemies
Highly resistant to physical attacks until hit by elemental damage, turning brittle and white.
Flying variant that hovers out of reach until hit with elemental attacks to ground it.
Pillar-like nests that spawn infinite Gibdos until destroyed.
The dungeon boss fought first at the temple entrance and later on the roof.
Tips
- Hit the glowing purple core of Gibdo nests when they open up to destroy them and create a pillar of natural sunlight in the room.
- Lure Gibdos into natural beams of light to destroy them instantly without expending weapon durability or elemental items.
- Use the Ultrahand ability to position mirrors so that light beams reflect into sun switches, which opens locked gates and reveals battery mechanisms.
- Target Queen Gibdo with Riju's lightning field during her flying phase to knock her out of the sky and leave her vulnerable to melee attacks.
- Bring plenty of Splash Fruit, Dazzlefruit, or Shock Fruit to easily strip the armor from Gibdos when Riju's ability is on cooldown.
