Gerudo Region
The Gerudo Desert is suffering from a massive shroud of sand called the Sand Shroud that blocks your map and hides swarms of Gibdo monsters. Link must track down Chief Riju in the underground ruins, help defend Kara Kara Bazaar and Gerudo Town, and solve a light-reflection puzzle across the desert pillars. Unlocking the Lightning Temple at the center of the desert is the final objective to clear the phenomenon and defeat Queen Gibdo.

Highly resistant to all physical damage until struck by an elemental attack that turns them white and brittle.
Flying variant encountered during town defenses and inside the Lightning Temple; shoot them down with elemental arrows.

Tips
- Throw or shoot Splash Fruit or use Chuchu Jelly to clear away mounds of sand covering chests and switches throughout the desert.
- Vehicles equipped with Big Wheels will not sink or lose traction when driving over deep desert sand.
- Equip a weapon fused with a ruby or wear warm clothing at night, and switch to cold-resistance gear or sapphire fusions during the day to survive the extreme temperatures.
- When lost inside the Sand Shroud, look for updrafts created by the sand tornadoes to gain altitude and regain a brief view above the dust cloud.
