Kakariko Village is the site of five massive Ring Ruins that fell from the sky, drawing researchers Paya and Tauro to study their origins. Players must investigate the ruins and decipher ancient stone slabs to progress the main questline toward the Spirit Temple. Progressing the quest "Secret of the Ring Ruins" requires having already resolved the Crisis at Hyrule Castle event.

Stepping inside the fifth floating Ring Ruin is strictly forbidden by Zelda's supposed orders until after completing the main story event at Hyrule Castle, which finally allows Link to ascend into it and photograph the inner stone slab.

Tips

Use the Ascend ability under the wooden scaffolds and ruin arches to quickly climb the cliffs without consuming high amounts of stamina.
Photograph the stone tablet inside the fifth Ring Ruin with your Purah Pad Camera to show Tauro and advance the "Secret of the Ring Ruins" quest.
