FINAL FANTASY IX guide · The summoner's village

Madain Sari is the ruined ancestral home of the summoner tribe located on the Outer Continent, inhabited by Eiko Carol and her Moogle companions. The party visits the village to rest, uncover Garnet and Eiko's shared origins, and partake in a dinner hosted by Eiko before heading to the Iifa Tree. Later in the story, the party returns here to protect the village and confront the bounty hunter Lani and Amarant.

The Eidolon Wall mural | Accessed on Disc 4 by returning to the village and talking to Lani, which triggers a puzzle requiring you to walk in circles around the room following chime sounds to reveal Eiko and Garnet's true names.

Shops and people

Morrison: Sells restorative items such as Potions, Hi-Potions, Phoenix Downs, Softs, and Tents near the entrance of the village.

Tips

During the cooking mini-game with Eiko, assign Chimomo to fish, Mocha to dig up potatoes, and put the right amount of water (about 11 to 12 people worth) into the pot to get the best dinner dialogue and an extra reward.
Visiting the Eidolon Wall allows Garnet to interact with the murals, foreshadowing her forgotten summoning heritage and her connections to Alexander and Bahamut.
