Seyda Neen is the port town on the southern coast of Vvardenfell where the player character arrives by prison ship. You complete character creation in the Census and Excise office before being released into the settlement. In town, you can take on initial quests, buy basic starting gear, and make travel arrangements to Balmora.

  • Darvame Hlaren (Silt Strider): public transportation to Balmora, Gnisis, Vivec, and Suran

Tips

  • Stealing the limeware platter off the shelves during character creation yields high starting gold if you drop it before the guard confronts you and then pick it back up.
  • Giving Fargoth his ring back raises Arrille's disposition toward you, which significantly lowers store prices at the tradehouse.
  • Using the Scroll of Icarian Flight increases your Acrobatics by 1000 points, but it will cause lethal fall damage upon landing unless you cast a Slowfall effect or land in deep water.
