← All areas in this guide

Accessible through the Mortrag Glacier during the climax of the Bloodmoon expansion, this area serves as Hircine's maze for the final Bloodmoon Prophecy hunt. You must navigate deadly werewolf-infested corridors, locate keys, and choose whether to ally with or fight previous companions to reach the innermost chamber. Surviving the maze culminates in a confrontation with an aspect of the Daedric Prince Hircine himself.

Tips

  • Pack a generous supply of health, stamina, and cure disease potions before entering, as you cannot leave the Hunting Grounds until Hircine is defeated.
  • You only face one of Hircine's three aspects based on the dialogue choice you make right before the final fight, dictating which unique artifact you obtain.
  • Silver, enchanted, and Daedric weapons are practically mandatory here to effectively damage the werewolves.
