Tears' Point

FINAL FANTASY VIII guide · Optional visit to find the Rosetta Stone

Tears' Point is a landmark located on the southern continent of Esthar that plays a role during the Lunar Cry events. Players can revisit this location freely later in Disc 3 using the Ragnarok to navigate through the circular walkways and retrieve rare items. The main objective during this optional return visit is collecting the valuable Rosetta Stone item found at the deepest point of the structure.

Equip the Mug ability on your fastest attacker, as enemies encountered inside Tears' Point hold rare refinement materials.
The Rosetta Stone is only available to pick up from the ground here before the Lunatic Pandora finishes docking over Tears' Point later in the story.
