Kaipo is an oasis town in the middle of the desert where Cecil brings the unconscious Rydia to rest after escaping the destruction of Mist. An ambush by Baron soldiers takes place at the inn during the night, which convinces Rydia to join your cause. Later, Cecil returns here to find a feverish Rosa bedridden in one of the houses, requiring the Sand Ruby from the Antlion's Cave to cure her.

Shops and people
- Kaipo Inn: Rest and heal party HP and MP for a small fee; triggers the nocturnal Baron soldier ambush on your first stay
- Kaipo Item Shop: Sells basic recovery supplies including Potions, Phoenix Downs, and Gold Needles
- Kaipo Weapon and Armor Shop: Sells basic gear upgrades including Bows, Arrows, and Leather equipment
Tips
- Before staying at the inn for the night ambush, make sure Cecil is well-equipped, as he must fight the Baron soldiers alone to protect Rydia.
- Do not sell or discard the Sand Ruby elsewhere; bring it straight to the sick bed in Kaipo to wake Rosa and recruit her into the party.
