Baron Town

FINAL FANTASY IV guide · Cecil visits his hometown after returning from Mysidia

Cecil sneaks into the town of Baron after returning from Mysidia, disguised as a paladin to find his old allies. He stops at the local inn where he confronts an amnesiac Yang, who has been brainwashed by the kingdom. After snapping Yang out of it, the party obtains the Baron Key, allowing access to the town's locked weapon shop and the underground waterway into the castle.

Tips

Equip Cecil and your mages with thunder-resistant or status-curing gear before triggering the inn encounter, as Yang hits hard with physical attacks.
Use the Baron Key on the locked door on the west side of town to enter the Old Water-way, which leads directly beneath Baron Castle.
