FINAL FANTASY X/X-2 HD Remaster guide · The operation against Sin

Yuna and her guardians arrive at Mushroom Rock Road to witness Operation Mi'ihen, a joint military assault against Sin staged by the Crusaders and the Al Bhed. You must navigate the winding cliff paths to reach the command center, speak with key officers, and prepare for battle. The operation ends in disaster, leading to a direct confrontation with a piece of Sin before you can move on to Djose.

Sinspawn Gui

Weak to Fire, Water, Lightning, Ice (Arms absorb/protect the body)Steal / drop Potion

Target the head when it starts moving to prevent its powerful Venom attack, and break the arms so melee attacks can reach the torso.

Shops and people

O'aka XXIII: Sells Potions, Hi-Potions, Phoenix Downs, and specialized weapons/armor before the operation starts

Tips

Use Wakka to inflict Silence or Darkness on the head of Sinspawn Gui to significantly reduce the incoming damage to the party.
Equip Auron with armor that protects against Poison or Darkness prior to the Sinspawn Gui battle.
Auron's Armor Break will not affect Sinspawn Gui's main body while its arms are fully intact.
